That pic you emailed me is 1/2 the reason I want to split the case myself . I want to see exactly what oils what in there.

That's what Griffin reckons. But like you said before it was a heat problem it would be on the exhaust side as it gets hotter. If the cooling system couldn't keep up it would be seen on the exhaust side. Unless the cooling system doesn't bleed correctly.

I get the concept but if there's nothing delivering oil to the exterior of the piston ( or the interior of the cylinder ) except spray off of the crank journals , I don't see the point .

So we have 2 problems maybe. Cooling and Lubrication.

Unless the cooling system doesn't bleed correctly. You may have something there .....Hmmmm I'm keeping plenty of notes & I'll be sure to present all ( our ) theories when the time comes to give him my baby .

Do you have something you could measure the temp on both sides of the cylinder? I would do it but by bike is apart right now

I guess that stuff has its testing #'s to its credit & may help a bit but if there is an an air pocket where this hot spot traditionally is nothings going help . Couple other things : 1 I ve read it can't be mixed with water or regular coolant . 2 all traces of coolant / water must be removed before switching. Ask Skioutty , he runs it.

I asked my re-builder for curiosity if he thinks there is a hotspot on that side of the cylinder. Waiting for his response he should respond by tomorrow morning.
