Tonight I drilled a 2 & 1/8" hole through the curb and started digging a trench for my pool drain instead of rolling out a hose every time. I took a 10 foot stick of schedule 80 PVC and hammered it all the way through the curb and started digging from that point. It got me under the side walk and saved 10 feet of digging. I used a piece of 3/4" black pipe to clear out the 1 & 1/2" heavy wall PVC.

Okay so that is all done. i dug the rest of the way to the pool equipment and have a stand pipe with a larger mouth to accept the discharge hose from the filter. This will be used in the winter as well. I keep a cover pump on top all winter and this will allow me to take no action all winter. I will also be pulling in a piece of gutter heat to keep it from freezing. I'm not 100% sure this cable will survive inside the pipe with the summer draining so I will just make it another part of closing up the pool. Pull the cable in in the Fall and remove it in the spring. www.pentairthermal.com/products/heating-cables/self-regulating/index.aspx?id=tcm:432-27895&catid=tcm:432-17783-1024

Todays project was fabbing up a couple brackets for the chute rotation rod on the repowered blower . The new engine's cylinder head lies right in the path of where the chute rod used to run . Paint's drying on the new brackets so this is the most recent pic I have .
